Panel
Topic: Semiconductors
Industry Growth: Youthful vigor or Mid life maturity?
The panel will discuss key issues related to the growth
of the Semiconductor industry moving forward. This discussion will encompass
near and long term outlook for the industry given the technological changes
and investment climate.
Topics discussed will include:
- Current status – cycle bottom or fundamental
changes steering the industry?
- Key factors that will drive the semiconductor
industry growth in each segment – Processors, Communications and Consumer
Applications
- Implications of fab vs. fabless model,
investment trends and ROI expectations. Are we going into industry consolidation
phase or still likely to see proliferation
of new companies?
- Technology impact – evolutionary
vs. discontinuous changes that will drive the next growth opportunities
