Shri Dodani, Business
Development Broadband Products Unit, Intel Corporation. Shri
Dodani is reponsible for Business Development initiatives at Intel's Broadband
Products Business Unit. He is part of the team implementing Intel's home
networking vision. Prior to Intel, Shri was President and CEO of VxTel
that had a simple vision to lead the convergence of voice data and video.
VxTel was acquired by Intel for $550 million cash transaction in Feb 2001.
Suhas Patil, Chairman Emeritus & Founder of Cirrus Logic.
Before becoming an entrepreneur, Suhas spent ten years in the academic
field as a Professor at MIT, Carnegie-Mellon University and University
of Utah. He has over 40 scientific papers and several patents in Computer
Architecture and IC Design. Suhas was elected its first president of TiE
an organization nurturing and mentoring entrepreneurs and young companies.
Suhas is also on the board of Cirrus Logic, RightWorks, Digital Tools
and Cradle Technologies.
Harshul Sanghi, General Manager, Philips Set Top Boxes.
Harshul has over 15 years of experience in high tech, predominantly in
sales, marketing, and business development roles in S.E. Asia, Europe, and
Silicon Valley. Most recently, he was responsible for the introduction of
the Philips line of DIRECTV digital satellite television receivers (set top
boxes) in the US, which included being first to market with the DIRECTV TiVo
combination product, the Philips DSR6000. Prior to this, Harshul led
Philips' entry in Data Broadcasting where he was involved in the launch of
the world's first broadband over satellite system in Europe. Harshul holds
an MBA from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in
Switzerland, and Bachelor's degrees in Computer Science & Financial
Accounting from the University of Oregon and the University of Bombay
respectively.
Sheridan Tatsuno, Principal, Dreamscape Global. Dreamscape
Global is a business accelerator advising startups, research institutes,
and Fortune 1000 corporations for over 13 years. Prior to forming Dreamscape
Global Sheridan was senior analyst at Dataquest where he wFormer started
Dataquest's Japan/Asia semiconductor group. At Dataquest Sheridan was
involved with several marketing research projects at AMD and Intel including
the conception of the "Intel Inside" marketing campaign. Sheridan's
personal interests include screenwriting/digital cinema and home networking.
Avideh Zakhor, Prof. EECS, Univ. of Berkeley, Founder of TruVideo.Avideh Zahkor joined the Faculty at U. C. Berkeley in 1988
where she is
currently Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and
Computer Sciences. Her research interests are in the general area of
image & video processing, compression, and communications.
Prof. Zakhor is a reciepient of many awards for papers published on Video
Technologies.
She received the Presidential Young Investigators (PYI) award, and Office of
Naval Research (ONR) young investigator award in 1992. From 1998 to 2001, she
was an elected member of IEEE Signal Processing Board of Governers. In 2001,
she was elected as IEEE fellow.
Prof. Zakhor founded OPC Technology in 1996 to commercialize her research
efforts in the area of optical proximity correction. OPC Technology was
acquired by Mentor
Graphics in 1998. Dr. Zakhor founded Truvideo in 2000 to commercialize
her research efforts in the area of video coding and streaming over
wireless networks. Truvideo is located in Berkeley, CA.
