It's time to get those business cards out again, update those resumes, polish those elevator pitches...and practice the IITB lingo. The Bay Area Chapter of the IITBHF is pleased to announce the next speaker series event on Saturday Sept. 30th from 4PM to 7PM. This is a special event with many special guests. We have the pleasure of having the company of various Senior IIT Professors as well as Prominent Alumni who will be in the Bay area as part of the IIT Bombay roadshow. 

The tentative schedule is as follows:

  • Welcome
  • Inauguration of the new online database and lifetime email addresses
  • IITBHF Bay Area Chapter Update
  • Prof. MGK Menon - brief address (tentative)
  • Prof. Ashok Misra - Director IIT Bombay
    • Introduction
    • The Future of IIT Bombay - "The Director's Cut"
  • Introduction of Featured Speaker
  • Featured Speaker - Raj Jaswa - "Succeeding in e-Business"

  • Tea, Samosa and Networking

IIT Bombay gear will be available for sale at the event - T-shirts, Polo Shirts (NEW) and Golf Caps (NEW) -- so get those make sure you get enough CASH and get ready to gear up!!

Speaker Bio

Raj Jaswa, a co-founder of Selectica, has served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Selectica since its inception. Prior to co-founding Selectica, Mr. Jaswa served as President of OPTi, Inc., a supplier of PC-compatible chipsets from January 1995 to January 1996 and as Vice President of
Sales and Marketing from August 1989 to December 1994. Prior to that, Mr. Jaswa served as Marketing Manager of Chips & Technologies Inc. (later acquired by Intel Corp.) from January 1987 to July 1989. Mr. Jaswa received a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, an M.S.E.E. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto, and an M.B.A. from Stetson University.
