Vikesh Mahendroo

Vikesh Mahendroo is an executive vice president of William M. Mercer Companies, LLC, responsible for the Client Management and International practices globally. He is also responsible for strategic talent acquisition and national client relationships for the U.S. company. He serves on the board of Mercer Consulting Group, the Global Leadership Group, the U.S. Leadership Group, the Executive Committee of the GLG and is Mercer’s liaison for the Americas to MMC’s Business in Combination committee.

Vikesh joined Mercer in 1984, working in the human resource and finance areas in New York. In 1987, he transferred to the Cleveland office as an executive compensation consultant and became office head in 1988. He was appointed U.S. Northeast region head in 1992 and executive vice president in 1993. He served as president of the U.S. company from 1996 until fall 2000, when he assumed his current responsibilities.

Mr. Mahendroo has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in economics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University, India, and an MBA from Columbia University. He is a member of the American Compensation Association.

Before coming to the U.S. in 1983, Vikesh was a member of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and served in Pondicherry and Mizoram.

Vikesh is a member of the New York Chapter of the NNL Club, a group of leading professionals of Indian origin; the club’s objective is to enhance the profile of India/Indians in the U.S. through sponsorship of selected Indo-American activities. Vikesh and his wife Kiran live in Ridgewood, New Jersey. They have two daughters, Shivani and Aditi.
