Sid Nag 

Founder, President and CEO, Prominence Networks 

Sid Nag, a 20-year communications industry veteran is the Founder, President and CEO of Prominence Networks and the visionary behind Prominence Networks' strategic direction.

Prior to founding Prominence Networks, Nag was with Cisco Systems, in their New York City Sales division at one of Cisco's largest Enterprise accounts - Citigroup. He was the lead architect for designing and deploying Cisco's VoIP and IP Telephony based solutions. 

Prior to Cisco, Nag spent eight years at AT&T Bell Labs and Lucent Technologies where he was part of the original team that designed, developed and deployed AT&T's WorldNet IP Common Backbone. At Bell Labs, Nag also worked in the area of management, provisioning and performance analysis of AT&T's Worldwide Circuit Switched Telephone Network (including 4ESS TDM Networks and SS7 Signaling Networks). While at Lucent, Nag was a Technology Manager at the prestigious Bell Labs Research (Area 11), responsible for creating the Lucent IP Network Configurator product. Before coming to AT&T Bell Labs, Nag was with Unisys (Burroughs) Corporation. 

Nag is an active member of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and is also the Chair of the Services Management Research Group at the IETF/IRTF (Internet Research Task Force) where he has been the author of several drafts and RFCs in the area of Quality of Service for IP networks. Nag has also published papers at IEEE conferences. 

Nag has a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay and a Masters degree in Computer Science from the Pennsylvania State (Penn State) University. Sid was also in a Doctoral program in Computer Science at Rutgers University.
