Ron is President of Mehta Associates, a private equity firm specializing in plastic blow molding investments in North America since 1989. Currently, he owns and operates as a majority owner, Premium Molding Inc., a $ 12 million dollar large part plastic blow molder in Latrobe, Pennsylvania and its sister company, Accu-Mold Inc., a $ 3 million plastic blow mold manufacturer also in Derry, PA. In addition, since 1998, he owns 49.9% equity in an $ 18 million plastic container blow molding company - Plastic Industries, Inc. located in Garden Grove, Southern California. Currently, Premium Molding Inc. is in the last stages of acquiring a $12.5 million very large part blow molding company in North Carolina.
In 2000, he sold Canam Plastics Inc. of Brampton, Ontario, Canada to a group of Canadian investors, after having built this company from scratch in 1998, to primarily supply the northeastern United States market. Ron has been involved in plastic blow molding since 1989, when he started Crystal Clear, Inc., Hillside, NJ and Crystal Clear Container Corporation, Modesto, California to make 5 gallon returnable polycarbonate drinking water bottles. Majority ownership in these companies was sold to Reid Plastics, a $250 million unit of Consolidated Container Corporation. As a member of the Reid Board of Directors and minority owner, he was responsible for international business and built joint ventures in Canada, Mexico, Israel, Colombia, Turkey, Dominican Republic, Poland and India. Ruyintan graduated with a B.Tech degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay in 1970, and earned his Masters degrees in Chemical Engineering and Engineering Administration from the Universities of Connecticut and Utah respectively. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Ron also serves on the Board as an outside Director of a small, publicly traded specialized process engineering and environmental systems company – Crown Andersen Inc (NASDAQ Symbol –CRAN). Before 1989, he was General Manager of Combustion Engineering Environmental’s Hazardous Waste Systems Division and for several years as President of Andersen Engineering Services.
