Jignesh Patel

Managing Director, Fixed Income Division, Bear Stearns

Jignesh is a Managing Director in the Fixed Income Division of Bear Stearns. He is responsible for structuring all of Bear Stearns' Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS) and Real Estate Collateralized Debt Obligation (CDO) deals. His group issues over $8 billion of CMBS deals annually. It also advises and structures transactions for diverse financial institutions such as REITs and Hedge Funds looking to utilize innovative financing techniques in the CDO market. Jignesh has also written articles for several industry publications and handbooks.

Jignesh was also the IITB Alumni Association Greater NY chapter's first Treasurer. In that capacity, he had a hand in establishing the initial infrastructure for the chapter.

He earned a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from IIT Bombay (1992), and an MS in Industrial Management from Purdue University (1993). He also holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
