SJMSOM ranked in top ten b-schools in India
The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) has, for the second year running, been ranked as the number one business school in India by Eduniversal, a unit of the French consulting firm SMBG. IIMB and IIMA were followed by eight other colleges which got "4 Palmes" for being "Top Business Schools, internationally known". They are the IIM Calcutta, Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi--Department of Management Studies, IIT Bombay-Shailesh J Mehta School of Management, IIM Lucknow, Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi, Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, and XLRI, Jamshedpur.

In the Eduniversal Palmes 2009, IIMB has been awarded "5 Palmes", the highest recognition under the evaluation, accorded to "universal business schools with major international influence". The rankings are decided by votes from the deans of the 1000 best business schools from 153 countries. IIMB had a recommendation rate of 395 per thousand, followed by IIM Ahmedabad with 345, which also got "5 Palmes", the release said.
