AMD today announced the appointment of Manju Hegde as corporate vice president, Fusion Experience Program. A renowned parallel and visual computing innovator, Hegde previously served as vice president of CUDA Technical Marketing at Nvidia before joining AMD to lead the AMD Fusion Experience Program, an initiative focused on identifying innovative computing solutions and applications poised to take full advantage of the forthcoming AMD Fusion(TM) family of Accelerated Processing Units (APU). Hegde reports to Rick Bergman, senior vice president and general manager, AMD Products Group.
Hegde received a Ph. D. from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in computer information and control engineering, along with a master's degree from the University of Toledo in statistics, a master of management studies' degree from the University of Bombay in finance, and a bachelor's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, in electrical engineering.

Virtify, Inc., the market leader in Enterprise Content Compliance (ECC) solutions, today announced that it has made several key hires to its team in response to increased demand for Virtify ECC software and services.
Among the new hires, Jawahar Tembulkar will serve as vice president of engineering. He joins the company with more than 20 years of experience in the software industry, building and leading global multi-functional teams to deliver complex products and systems. Most recently, he was director of software at EMC Corporation, where he was responsible for system management and monitoring tools for EMC's flagship NAS product, Celerra. Prior to EMC, Tembulkar was vice president of software at adAlive. He also served as vice president of applications software at Parametric Technology Corporation. He holds a bachelor's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and a master's degree from North Carolina State University.

Energy Recovery Inc, a leader in the design and development of energy recovery devices for desalination, today announced the hiring of Joseph D'Souza as the company's director of business development, clean technologies. In this newly created business unit, D'Souza will leverage his abundant experience in the semiconductor and clean technology industries to expand Energy Recovery's portfolio of offerings by bringing new products to market. He will expand Energy Recovery's leading technical and R&D capabilities in areas of advanced ceramics, high-efficiency energy transfer and energy storage technologies.
D'Souza brings 15 years of experience in the semiconductor and solar industry sectors to his new position. He holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, a master's degree in chemical engineering from the University of New Mexico, and a bachelor's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai.

The international law firm of Chadbourne & Parke LLP announced today that it has hired former Walt Disney Company IP Executive Rajappan ("BG") Balagopal in the Firm's Los Angeles office as a Senior IP Strategist for the group. At Disney, he was Vice President, Technology Intellectual Property Management and was in charge of patent strategy across all of Disney's product lines.
Mr. Balagopal, 47, is a registered patent agent and has over 15 years of multi-industry commercial IP management experience, including IP assessment, operations and strategy; technology transfer and licensing and IP acquisitions and divestures.
He received B. Tech. and M.S. degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and the University of South Florida, in 1984 and 1986, respectively. Mr. Balagopal is registered to practice in the USPTO.
