Selection Process
 
 

The selected innovators will need to pay Rs. 10,000 for putting up an exhibit.  Each selected innovator will get two additional complimentary invitations for the event.The overall process of innovation selection will be done by a panel of experts covering a broad range of experience.The selection panels will screen the nominations and ask additional information from those short-listed for further scrutiny. The short listed innovators wiill be informed about giving additional information within two weeks of their nomination.

In the second stage of selection, the following information is expected:

 
 
  • A detailed description of the innovation covering the originality of idea.
  • A brief history of the process of commercialization.
  • Cost/benefit analysis.
  • Current and future impact on the sector.
  • Proof of commercialization and current successful use.

The final selection of 15 will be made by December 7, 2006.

 
 
  • Selected innovators will be required to prepare a crisp six-minute presentation .
  • Ability to present in person and setting up of an exhibit is a requirement for selection.
  • Selected innovators who are not in a position to pay Rs. 10000 for setting up an exhibit may ask for a waiver with the organizers.
  • The experts' panel will recommend the selection to the organizers.  Organizers' decisions will be final.

The panel will provide the innovators the common guidelines to be followed and request a presentation and exhibit plan ready for review by December 15, 2006. A review of the presentation from each innovator selected will be held in the third week of December and the final presentations are expected to be available to the organizers by December 31, 2006.
Please note: In the second stage, it is mandatory for the innovator to make a presentation and exhibit the inovation. Organiser's decison on all the matters of selection will be final.
