Welcome back Senior Junta..... (I am sure u guys miss using the word "JUNTA ")

You might already be having a movie playing in the back of your mind reminiscing the yesteryears. I am damn sure you miss the jolly old days when you were a part of the "BAAP of all hostels". Hostel-5 has left an everlasting imprint on everyone who has been lucky enough to be a part of it. It is the place which made "men" out of mere mortals.

Okay, so let us update you on the highlights of the year after our last alumni reunion. We intend hosting our Alumni reunion again this year on the 25th December. It would be awesome to have you guys here to spend the day with us, so do come and join us.

Life in the hostel is as rocking and comfortable as ever, which would not have been possible without your support and generosity. The hostel is excelling in all fields, including PAF’s, GC’s, and yeah academics too :P. We secured 2nd in this year’s Performing Arts Festival (PAF’11), 1st in Goonj-Music GC and Hindi Debating GC and stood 4th overall in the Cult GC’10 and 6th in Sports GC’10. We have started the 2011-12 GCs brilliantly again. With the most entertaining performance in Gyrations and Main Dram GC, winning the Hindi Debating GC again, 2nd in Tech GC 2 and 3D Modelling GC, Penthouse has made its presence felt once again. The mess with the new caterer and the first in the institute with a biometric system is unofficially the best mess in the institute.

Although much has already been accomplished, there is still a lot more to be done. Your proactive association is of utmost importance for the hostel. Our strong alumni base is one of our greatest strengths, and we hope it continues to be the same. We are trying to improve our alumni database, and contacts of any "lost" alumni are always welcome. Your help in any form; be it through mentoring our senior students, helping in widening our contact base, joining our core team or through donations is most welcome. We would be more than happy to help whenever you visit or in need of any information.
