How to Donate
Instructions for donating your amounts to the H4 HATS fund:
For Indian residents paying by check:
1. Write a check in favour of Registrar, IIT Bombay if you want 100% IT exemption
OR
write a check in favour of IIT Bombay Alumni Association if you are satisfied with a 50% IT exemption. We prefer the 2nd alternative since money becomes available to us immediately whereas transfers from IIT to IITBAA will take place in quarterly installments.
2. On the back of the check, you should write "H4 HATS fund."
3. Mail the check to:

4. DO send a mail to h4madhousecore@iitbombay.org and cc to iitbaa.office@gmail.com. THIS IS IMPORTANT. This will help us track your donations, reconcile accounts and make sure your amount is not lost due to clerical errors.
For Indian residents paying by electronic transfer:
1. Use this option only if you are too lazy to write a check.
Although online banking is the order of the day, there is a procedural issue in IIT for tracking and confirming electronic transfer receipts.
2. DO send a mail to h4madhousecore@iitbombay.org and cc to iitbaa.office@gmail.com. THIS IS EVEN MORE IMPORTANT. In fact, do send a mail BEFORE making the transfer.

For US residents paying by Credit Card (CC):
1. Go to https://www.iitbombay.org/giving-back/online-donation
2. Fill out the form as required. Under "Donation type", select Hostel 4 from the drop down menu
3. Credit card companies charge a 2-3% fee which IITBHF bears. In case of high value donations (say $5K), try to avoid using the CC option.
