Dear Hostel 2 Alumni
A little information on our hostel,current status,recent achievements....and a request for your generous support to launch a few projects in our hostel.
The new council of hostel 2 has been meeting regularly and finally decided the projects it wants to implement this year.Projects are mainly classified into few areas:

1. Development of footer-field and the kho-kho field to accommodate a new matting wicket for cricket and leveling and removing stones from the field.
2. Halogen lights are required for lighting the hostel grounds in all we have a requirement of 5 lights costing 24k each.
3. For the purpose of movie shows.
4. Mattresses and beds needed for TV room as the existing ones are very old and worn out.
5. New chairs for lounge to replace the very old bucket chairs.
6. Instruments needed including a bass guitar(16k), tabla(6k), amplifier(10k) and a synthesizer(30k).
7. Developing a new garden between 2nd and 3rd wing as the place in lying barren and unutilized.
8. Purchase of new equipment and maintenance of existing equipment
9. Development of the area near canteen to accommodate the growing strength also installing a new water cooler, water purifier and an insect killer. Installing a grid to keep the dogs away.
10. Water coolers needed to cover all the wings.
11. Increasing need is felt by the inmates to have a washing machine per wing.
12. We are now living with roommates till the very last year in institute. With the same room capacity as a single person room it is difficult to keep all the stuff especially the books in later years. Hence a book shelf per room is a necessity.
13. Replacement of existing chairs is needed and a requirement of new chairs is felt due to the heavy increase in the population of hostel.
14. Steel mesh is required to protect against rodents and mosquitoes.
