Hostel 2 makes its first HATS purchase!!!!
This time the Hostel Reunion as GRAND. Around one-third of the alumni who visited the campus were from H2. A small function was organized in the hostel. Firstly, cheques were given to the mess workers as part of the Mess Worker's Incentive Fund, then some winning performances of H2 in dance and film were screened. Next, we had High Tea along with alumni-student interaction. After that, the alumni went to their rooms, down into their memory lane. It was great to hear them ell stories of their wings to kids, taking pics of their favorites spots in the Hostel, going into rooms as if they still belong to them regardless of the fact that students were still sleeping inside or were not around. The way everything picked up once they met, never once reflected that there was a gap of 25 years since they'd last met. That FLAME, that SPIRIT of H2 was still alive in all of them, especially the '86 batch, calling themselves "Oy Bevdes". It was truly a remarkable get together.

Hostel-2 has defintely made its presence felt in at least one GC event each year. Last year, we won the Tech GC, Cult GC and also the PAF. This year, we have made huge strides to capture the Cult GC by winning Gyrations, 2nd year in a row, and grabbin 2nd place in Main Dram GC. Our Techies have also done a great job winning Tech GC1 and Tech GC2. We are currently 2nd in Sports GC, cracking 1st in Baddy and TT GC and 2nd in athletics GC.
As part of HATS, this year, major part of the Mess Worker donation is completed, but it is with the help of loans from other hostels with surplus. Last year, we purchasaed HD projector, Music systen, DSLR camera and musical equipments through HATS.
