Mar 2010: Fresher's Get-together
An alumni get-together was organized at Hotel Sadanand on the 19th of March. The primary focus was to encourage participation by Freshers. Praj Industries sponsored beer for all :-) About 141 alumni participated in the get-together of which 85 were freshers.
 
 
Jan 2010: Talk on trends in Solar Technologies
A talk by Dr. Madhu Atre (President and MD of Applied Materials India) was held on 16th of January. He talked about trends in solar technologies, viability, opportunities (especially IT related) from an India perspective. 
 
Jan 2010: Innovations 2010Innovations 2010 Logo  
 

Innovations-2010 event was held on 9th January at the Dewang Mehta Auditorium at Persistent Systems. It was attended by ~250 people from various industries. The event started with an inspirational keynote by Sanjay Nayak, CEO of Tejas Networks. Later, 12 innovators presented their ideas and answered questions from the audience. The afternoon session had three successful innovators share their experiences with the audience.

Sep 2009: Trekking

The chapter had organized a trek to Neelkantheshwar on Sunday, 13th September. The place is ~40km from Pune and offers fascinating views of the Panshet, Warasgaon and Khadakvasla dams. Nice temple at the top with lot of statues of mythological figures from Ramayan and Mahabharat, There were ~20 alumni along with their families who joined in for the trek.
 
May 2009: Ghazal Night
The Ghazal night organized on May 30th at Devang Mehta Auditorium, Persistent was a great success. It was a familiy event, and everybody enjoyed some excellent Ghazals from the artistes. The lead vocalists were Dattaprasad Ranade and Manjushri Oak. The program was conceptualized and coordinated by Ashish Mujumdar.
 
 
Jan 2009: Innovations 2009  inno2009logo
 

Preparations  for  Innovations 2009  had started  sometime in April 2008 and were in full swing by October. The event, in keeping with earlier tradition, was held in January 2009 at the Persistent auditorium. The first day was dedicated to the Innovators and their presentations while the second morning featured talks by eminent  personalities  including Mr. Baba Kalyani of Bharat Forge. The event showcased 15 innovators with products and ideas spanning various fields like Chemical Engineering, Stem Cell Therapy, Architecture, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, etc.
 

 Jun 2008: Picnic
A family outing was organized at the cultural village Chokhi Dani located  a little outside Pune . This picnic was open to PAN-IIT alumnus and nearly 200 folks attended it. SINE (the entrepreneurial incubation cell at IIT Bombay ) and the organizers of PAN IIT  Chennai  made use of the occasion to make presentations of their
respective ventures.
